​​Ok, so you have a Serger and you want to put that professional touch on all your projects, but you're afraid to pull it out and use it. This is the class for you.

​​The place for Absolute Beginners and Beyond.  We may specialize in helping beginners get started, but that's not all we serve.  Intermediates want the continuing education we provide to propel them to advance and grow their skills.  Getting started is often the hardest step.

This Sewing Camp is offered during the school year for school breaks like.. winter breaks, spring breaks, institute day, some holidays
Adults are welcome to call and schedule time
Absolute Beginners and Experienced level sew'ers are welcome

Absolute Beginners start with a sewing machine class which is 1.5 hours of pure sewing machine information.

Intermediate or experienced sew'ers are welcome to tap into a wealth of sewing information to enhance and practice their sewing skills. Our patient sewing instructor will help students through any sewing rough patches. Students can get answers to sewing questions and will benefit from tips and techniques that help them sew smarter.
Classic Sewing provides a spacious sewing environment that students will enjoy.

One of the most common barriers to sewing with patterns is sizing and understanding the language.  Students receive help with each pattern from start to finish.  Master the required stitches and avoid the most common beginner mistakes that result in projects looking less than perfect.

Understanding the markings and proper layout is essential to sewing with patterns
Learn the 10 basic stitches all beginners should master for successful sewing.

Personal Pattern Fitting Fundamentals   is a master pattern workshop
Space is limited to 4 
You must be able to troubleshoot your sewing machine and have intermediate sewing machine skills to attend this workshop.

The GOAL of this workshop is to create a master bodice, skirt and sleeve pattern that fits your personal measurements by altering the fitting shell to achieve the best fit.

What to Wear
Wear a tight fitting t-shirt, leggings or opaque tights in order to capture true measurements and for multiple fitting changes.  Tools to bring: A body form if you have one. Bring your favorite scissors, snips and seam ripper

This is an introduction to hand stitching. 
We begin by practicing threading and stitching.
Next, we move on to utilize what we learned to hand stitch a project.

The workshop begins with everything you need to know about the machine and stitching. We'll use that knowledge to construct a bolster pillow.   Everything is provided, sewing machine use, thread, fabric, zipper, and stuffing.
